About the role
- The Cromeens Law Firm, PLLC is a boutique construction law firm representing contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers across multiple states.
- Timely complete tasks assigned by attorneys.
- Drafting correspondence to clients and opposing parties.
Responsibilities
- Filing and e-serving various documents.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
Nice to have
- Associate or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred.
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Relevant litigation or construction industry experience preferred - construction background plus but not required.
- We provide training.
- 1 year (Preferred)
Skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in a variety of situations.
- Attention to detail - accuracy on lien filings and statutory deadlines is critical.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong legal research skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with Clio or similar legal case management software.
- Familiarity with Texas e-filing systems ( eFileTexas ).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Notary Public certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Discretion in handling confidential client and case information.
Compensation
- $52,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience
