Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and oversee food service staff and inmate workers, assigning duties and monitoring performance to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain security and accountability of kitchen tools, equipment, food supplies, and chemicals in accordance with correctional facility policies.
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering, receiving, and storage of food, supplies, and equipment to support operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to meal production, inventory, food temperatures, sanitation, and operational activities.
- Support emergency response, security procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain effective and efficient food service operations within the correctional environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in food service operations.
- Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., lifting, standing for long periods)
Nice to have
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
