About the role

Terabase is hiring an Engineering Manager to establish and lead a Test & Validation function within a hardware engineering program.
You will build and manage the team responsible for proving that the product works, lasts, and complies with relevant standards- owning the validation strategy, the certification pathway, the field operations function, and the integration interface with partners Location & Travel • Onsite in Davis/Woodland, CA (Sacramento area). • Up to ~25% travel to project test sites and partner sites, depending on validation activities.
Build, hire, develop, and manage a team of engineers and technicians covering test, validation, field operations, compliance, and technical documentation • Own the field validation strategy for prototype and early stage hardware iterations • Define and execute test plans, acceptance criteria, and validation protocols • Own the product certification pathway through accredited test lab partners • Partner with the mechanical engineering team on test article preparation, design-for-test, and field deployment readiness • Contribute to executive reporting on validation progress, certification status, and field test outcomes

This role offers a base salary of $150,000-$175,000 (DOE).
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Within each posted range, individual pay is determined based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
