About the role
- Follows all Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) associated with role.
- Communicates patient condition effectively to multidisciplinary team members.
- Key Performance Areas: Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents to patients as ordered by providers.
Responsibilities
- Always maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employee information.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous Experience (including minimum years of experience):
- Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting
- Ability to assess patient needs and condition is essential.
- Must have strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills is required.
- Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
Skills
- Good command of the English language.
- Second language is an asset but not required.
- Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.
- Computer
- Travel: Standard Core Workdays/Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts based on location hours and operational needs.

- Complete annual required safety and nursing trainings.

- Documentation: Thorough, accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) of treatment rendered to patients.
- Supplies: Includes assisting with inventory and re-stocking medical supplies, recommend purchase of new items as needed.
- Place stock in storage areas in a timely manner.
