About the role
- Responsible for both customer satisfaction and the financial performance of the team's projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and contributes to the design and development of products to fulfill the needs of the customer and improve company productivity.
- Oversees fabrication of prototypes and communicates necessary design information with suppliers.
- Ensures all design and test requirements are completed on time and in budget and guarantees a robust and safe end product that meets all performance expectations.
- Creates and maintains BOM and ECN documentation.
Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Descriptions are representative of those that must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
Nice to have
- 5+ years of engineering and leadership experience with a high volume manufacturer of consumer products
- Experience leading cross functional teams in suspension damper development
- power sports or automotive industry preferred
Skills
- Familiar with material processing operations
- Proficient with MS Office
- Proficient with Pro-E/Creo 3D modeling or equivalent
