About the role
- This role is highly visible and hands-on, requiring deep revenue recognition expertise, strong audit experience, and the ability to independently navigate complex accounting scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Support contract asset, deferred revenue, and contract liability accounting.
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve revenue-impacting issues.
- Support Merchant of Record accounting and reconciliations.
- Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
- Support audits and provide documentation.
- Highly analytical and naturally curious, with the ability to independently investigate issues and develop solutions.
- A collaborative business partner who can effectively communicate technical accounting concepts to non-accounting audiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant focus on revenue accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP revenue recognition requirements.
- Experience reviewing customer contracts and documenting accounting conclusions for complex revenue arrangements.
- Strong audit background required.
- Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close deliverables, and supporting schedules.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and reconcile large datasets.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with Business Central (Dynamics 365) or similar ERP systems.
