About the role
- Key Details • Work Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Own detailed electrical design work including analog & digital design. • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and ensure robust, manufacturable designs • Plan and execute design verification and validation activities, including board bring-up, troubleshooting and performance characterization. • Responsible for performing highly accelerated life testing (HALT), environmental qualification testing (DO-160G), etc. • Produce, maintain, and review technical documentation including HALT summaries, test procedures, qualification test reports, product drawings, etc. • Own assigned tasks and subsystems within larger projects following department processes and standards and ensure that designs meet internal, customer, and functional requirements, including schedule commitments. • Conceive, research, and implement engineering design changes yielding improvements in manufacturability and robustness in coordination with sustaining engineering team. • Explore and evaluate new technologies, standards, tools, and devices for potential use of and integration into future products. • Participate actively in design reviews - both presenting your work and providing constructive feedback to peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, processors, and/or DSP-based designs.
- Work Eligibility: Must be a United States citizen.

- Symbol/Footprint Design, Schematic Capture, & PCB Layout: Experience with OrCAD Capture/Allegro PCB Designer or similar toolset (will be required to use OrCAD/Allegro).
Nice to have
- Experience with processors, microcontrollers, and/or DSP-based designs.
- Experience with network/Ethernet designs and common communication interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, etc.).
- Experience with hardware diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, function generators, etc.
- Familiarity with embedded software (C, assembly, etc.) and hardware/software integration.
- Experience with RTCA DO-160G or similar environmental and electrical qualification standards
- FPGA/ASIC design experience (will be required to use Xilinx FPGAs & toolset).
