About the role
- The Maintenance Technician II is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the maintenance of facility infrastructure and material handling equipment across multiple distribution locations.
- This position focuses on preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and assisting senior technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklifts, dock doors, and facility equipment
- Maintain tools, work areas, and shop organization
- Accurately document completed work and report issues to supervisor
Requirements
- 1-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, or related experience (warehouse, construction, automotive, etc.)
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel between local facilities as needed**
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to learn new systems and equipment
- Good communication and teamwork
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Exposure to warehouse environment (heat, cold, noise, moving equipment)
Nice to have
- Exposure to forklift or automotive repair
- Basic understanding of electrical or hydraulics
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
