About the role
- The Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) is a vital member of the Minneola Healthcare team, responsible for providing both radiology and laboratory services in the Emergency Department during night shifts.
- This role requires certification as a Radiologic Technologist and includes performing X-ray and CT scans.
- This position ensures timely, quality care in emergent situations and plays a key role in our night shift operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and CT scans in accordance with physician orders and safety standards.
- Maintain and operate radiology and lab equipment, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support efficient, effective emergency care.
- The ER Tech will also be trained in basic laboratory procedures to support ED needs.
Requirements
- Ability to assist with patient transfers and operate imaging/lab equipment safely.
- Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with current Kansas licensure.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care.
- Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and exposure to clinical environments.
Nice to have
- CT certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Experience in an emergency or hospital setting is strongly preferred.
