Responsibilities

  • Artist must possess ability to animate both primary and secondary characters by using traditional methods and computer graphics systems to create desired performance of digital characters within a shot.
  • Successful candidates should be able to work efficiently as part of a team or independently to resolve various design solutions.

Requirements

  • Possess a strong understanding of the principles of animation.
  • Knowledge of applicable software packages including Maya required.
  • Background or experience in fine art which shows a thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance and form highly desired.
  • Knowledge of human and animal anatomy as well as life drawing skills are desirable.
  • Most desired 2 year diploma or 1 year certificate however minimal requirement of 2-3 years of relevant experience may be accepted.
  • Please note that you must be able to provide a demo reel that illustrates your relevant artistic and technical experience that also includes the nuances for this specific role.
  • Creates animated characters and objects that meet required direction.
  • Emphasis should be placed on conveying emotion through a combination of body language and facial expressions/ dialog as required by each specific project.
  • Must be able to decipher as well as follow through on shot turnovers, dailies, briefings/ notes and feedback.
