About the role

  • You will work directly on the factory floor to improve throughput, equipment uptime, process reliability, and the transition from low-rate production to volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Review designs for producibility and lead tasks that transition hardware from low-rate initial production to volume production.
  • Research, design, modify, and test production methods and equipment based on a deep understanding of hardware and software requirements.
  • Establish standards, design testing methods, and implement rate production validation processes to support hardware and process quality.
  • Support equipment uptime and technician utilization to ensure conforming hardware is delivered on schedule.
  • Develop, qualify, and implement automation solutions that support production ramp and manufacturing reliability.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to solve issues quickly and improve factory execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, ABET accreditation required, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in aggregating and analyzing technical data to make objective, data-informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in process development using DOE or similar multi-path experimental approaches.
  • Candidates must be currently authorized to access ITAR-controlled information as a U.S. person, including as a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must be currently authorized to access ITAR-controlled information as a U.S. person, including as a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or test engineering in aerospace, automotive, or commercial industries.
  • Experience in the investment casting industry.
  • Intermediate CAD modeling capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale production throughput.
  • Familiarity with WMS, MES, and ERP systems.
  • Experience qualifying, operating, and maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Additional requirements
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.

Compensation

  • Please note that the compensation information below is a general guideline. Compensation is based on demonstrated candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
  • Level 2: $108,000 - $132,000 annually + equity Level 3IC: $126,000 - $154,000 annually + equity
  • $108,000 - $154,000 annually + equity
