Responsibilities

  • Own and review the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with the SEC Reporting team in preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting principles, frameworks, and cryptocurrency-specific standards.
  • Support the SEC Reporting team with external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Lead initiatives to automate balance sheet reconciliations, enhancing the accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of the month-end close process.
  • Drive continuous process improvement by identifying and implementing automation and workflow enhancements across accounting operations.
  • Manage ongoing efforts to streamline and optimize the month-end close process, improving efficiency while strengthening internal controls.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of public and private accounting experience in Financial Services, FinTech, and/or Digital Assets industries
  • Experience with accounting software and familiarity with blockchain-based financial tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving industry regulations.
  • This role is based in NYC and will be required to work from our office near Union Square a minimum of 4 days per week.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles; experience with digital assets accounting practices is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital asset management is highly desirable.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Compensation

  • The anticipated base salary for this position is $135,000 - $150,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + performance incentives/benefits.
  • Offered salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.

  • As a Senior Accountant you'll work with the Accounting Manager to orchestrate our daily accounting functions and be instrumental in ensuring a flawless month-end and year-end closes.
  • You'll partner closely with FP&A and SEC Reporting teams on vital financial initiatives to ensure our company continuously meets the evolving cryptocurrency accounting standards and regulations.
