Responsibilities

  • Classroom sizes are at or near 10 students with paraprofessional support in the room* *Presently classroom sizes are smaller.
  • Our objective is to create daily opportunities for success, with both academic and behavioral development achievements.
  • Our teachers love using our specifically designed Expanded Menta Method Model.

Requirements

  • Ability to teach a self-contained classroom within all basic instructional areas.
  • Ability to work with youth with emotional/behavioral/academic difficulties.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively.
  • Professional Educator's License (PEL) with LBS1 (Special Education Teacher) certification or PEL with Secondary Education and a desire to obtain your Special Education Certification (LBS1).
  • Must be flexible, work in teams and creatively problem solve.
