Responsibilities
- The Finance & Department plays a key role in establishing a strong foundation to support the fulfillment of this mission.
- As requested, maintain & develop strong internal controls in keeping Financial Edge database clean
- Perform period end procedures, as assigned
- Perform account investigations and reconciliations, as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in finance operations
- Strong understanding of finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and reporting.
- Experience with financial statement preparation.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- All employees of CCO are required to participate in the mission of the New Evangelization within the Catholic Church and work toward the propagation of the Gospel.
- One must be an employment reference.
- One must be a CCO Missionary.
- If you are not familiar with any, please provide a character reference from someone who can attest to your character and relationship with the Catholic Church (such as a priest or a Church leader).
- Salaries increase with years of experience.
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Proficient in accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of compliance requirements related to financial operations
- CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) or other equivalent certifications
- Experience with Blackbaud software solutions (Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge, etc.)
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role.
- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Compensation
- Full-time Annual Salary starting at $68,113.63 depending on experience and qualifications
