Responsibilities

  • The Finance & Department plays a key role in establishing a strong foundation to support the fulfillment of this mission.
  • As requested, maintain & develop strong internal controls in keeping Financial Edge database clean
  • Perform period end procedures, as assigned
  • Perform account investigations and reconciliations, as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance operations
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • All employees of CCO are required to participate in the mission of the New Evangelization within the Catholic Church and work toward the propagation of the Gospel.
  • One must be an employment reference.
  • One must be a CCO Missionary.
  • If you are not familiar with any, please provide a character reference from someone who can attest to your character and relationship with the Catholic Church (such as a priest or a Church leader).
  • Salaries increase with years of experience.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Proficient in accounting software
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of compliance requirements related to financial operations
  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) or other equivalent certifications
  • Experience with Blackbaud software solutions (Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge, etc.)
  • Experience in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Compensation

  • Full-time Annual Salary starting at $68,113.63 depending on experience and qualifications
