About the role

  • Design Engineers at Foxglove work at the intersection of design and engineering, transforming complex data and workflows into clear, efficient user experiences.
  • In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to prototype and build features that improve both the usability and overall capability of our platform.
  • You'll also help evolve and scale Foxglove's design system and component library, enabling engineers to rapidly develop new features that are performant, accessible, and high-quality.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute directly to front-end code and partner with Product Managers and Product Designers to launch new tooling features.
  • Deliver advanced data visualization and interaction solutions that support the workflows of ML and autonomy engineers.
  • Experience maintaining reusable component libraries and refining design details at the code level.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, especially when working across design and engineering teams.
  • BUILD THE DATA INFRASTRUCTURE THAT POWERS PHYSICAL AI.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in tech or startup environments.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Exceptional visual design skills and a strong understanding of UX/UI principles, with a background in visual or interaction design.
  • Experience designing tools for engineers working in robotics or autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, etc.

Compensation

  • All-expenses-paid company offsites 1-2× per year.
