About the role
- This role has broad scope across the full stack, including front-end, back-end, database, integrations, and hosting, for the Wisconsin Medicaid Market.
- This position blends day-to-day software engineering with technical leadership.
- These efforts span across two independent health plan technology stacks.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on design and delivery of applications and platforms across the Wisconsin Medicaid Market (front-end, back-end, data, integrations, and hosting)
- Support modernization efforts (including migration from legacy implementations to modern patterns where applicable), with an emphasis on automation and repeatability
- Partner with IT leadership, enterprise architects, and platform teams to align decisions with enterprise standards and long-term direction
- Mentor engineers through design discussions and code reviews; coach on delivery practices (testing, CI/CD, observability) and model effective use of Humana-approved AI and code generation tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
- In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs.
Compensation
- The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
- The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
- $106,900 - $147,000 per year
- This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
- This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
