Responsibilities

  • Schedules follow-up appointments before the patient leaves the clinic and, per our Team-Based Care model, provides in-room scheduling when appropriate to support continuity of care, scheduling accuracy, and enhanced patient experience.
  • Conducts proactive outreach to reschedule missed appointments and actively manages a patient waitlist to improve access.
  • Develops and maintains expertise in clinic workflows, provider templates, and scheduling standards to support efficient operations.
  • Supports scheduling and access-related quality improvement initiatives and updates scheduling practices in alignment with new guidelines or provider changes.
  • Monitors provider schedules for gaps, cancellations, and optimization opportunities and collaborates with onsite care team members to fill openings and adjust schedules based on workflow needs.

Requirements

  • Must be able to move around the facility between one-third and two-thirds of the day, as well as sit or stand at a workstation and in patient rooms.
  • Communicating in person with patients and staff in clinical settings is required over two-thirds of the day, while climbing, stooping, or crawling is minimal.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience working in clinical setting strongly preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience strongly preferred.
