About the role

You'll sit at the center of our most critical decisions, owning planning, stress-testing bets, and partnering directly with our leadership team to allocate capital against our biggest opportunities.
You'll play a critical role in how Braintrust scales.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor KPIs and performance across teams and the overall company. Build dashboards and identify the right levers to accelerate growth and efficiency.
Headcount & Hiring Strategy: Collaborate closely with the recruiting team and managers on headcount planning, hiring prioritization, and organizational scaling.
Treasury & Cash Management: Manage treasury strategy, monitor cash flow, and optimize our capital structure to support hyper-growth.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Operate cross-functionally by design, partnering deeply with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering, to ensure aligned priorities and data-driven decision-making.
Board & Investor Relations: Create materials for our Board meetings and serve as a key partner on future fundraising processes, communicating our financial performance and long-term strategy.
Leadership: Proven track record of building or leading a finance function, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in an early-stage or scaling environment.
Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Manage forecasting, financial planning, and capital allocation.

Familiarity with ARR-based business metrics and subscription economics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial topics into clear, compelling narratives for executives, the Board, and investors.
Analytical Rigor: Deep expertise in financial modeling, long-range planning, and capital allocation.
You can take ambiguous business needs and turn them into structured, executable plans.

8-12+ years of progressive finance experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Investment Banking, ideally within a high-growth B2B SaaS or AI technology company.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Manage forecasting, financial planning, and capital allocation. Own our quarterly and annual planning cycle end-to-end, guiding overall company strategy and resource allocation.
