About the role

  • As an Underwriting Analyst within our Property Department, you will play an essential role in supporting the underwriting process from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with evaluating and rating property risks and support the CAT modeling process to assess exposures and potential losses
  • Prepare and organize renewal documentation, including quotes, binders, account summaries, and endorsements to support underwriters and streamline processes
  • Respond promptly and professionally to brokers' questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support to reinforce positive working relationships

Requirements

  • Proficiency with underwriting systems and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a track record of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in insurance, risk management, business, or a related field (preferred)
  • 1-2 years of experience in underwriting, insurance, or risk analysis (property line experience is a plus)

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is between $45,000.00 CAD - $75,000.00 CAD
