About the role
- Arrowhead Specialty is seeking Senior Accountant to join our growing team in St Petersburg, Florida!
- The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting and assisting the General Ledger Finance Team in leading and delivering financial accounting results for Arrowhead Specialty Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities
- Lead and support staff accountants.
- Perform full-cycle month-end close functions in accounting software systems.
- Create financial reports based on data analytics.
- Support and manage interactions with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure all transaction support documentation is processed, maintained, and filed accurately and timely.
- Build courteous and effective relationships with office staff to maintain efficient practices.
- Promote teamwork, knowledge sharing, support, and a positive attitude within the department and office.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prepare and submit documents as required by established internal controls.
Nice to have
- Pursuing a CPA designation or equivalent certification. ( preferred)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of financial accounting.
- Proficiency in data entry and data management.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Four to seven years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience. (preferred)
- Experience with Workday Financials. (preferred)
- Insurance brokerage experience. (preferred)
