About the role
- This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project plans, and supporting the bid process.
- The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical estimating experience across residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare estimates
- Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment
- Develop accurate and competitive project bids and proposals
- Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools
Requirements
- 3+ years of electrical estimating experience (residential and commercial)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Nice to have
- Background as an electrician or field experience
- Experience with both ground-up and renovation projects
- Knowledge of local codes and industry standards
