About the role

  • The Saint Joseph's University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is a part of the School of Health Professions.
  • This is a full-time, tenure-track, 12-month position in the School of Health Professions and will carry an appointment at the rank of Associate or full Professor, to be determined following the conclusion of the search.
  • The applicant should have expertise in the physical therapy management of people with neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver course materials, lab activities, and assessments
  • Leads program curricula planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision in collaboration with the faculty.
  • Maintain an active research agenda
  • Represents the program on various DPT and University committees and serves as a liaison across the university, providing leadership and strategy for DPT's engagement in campus-wide initiatives, and performs other related duties as assigned by the Chair
  • They are also expected to contribute to a vibrant and collaborative department and maintain an active scholarly agenda.

Requirements

  • A DPT degree alone does not meet this requirement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with patients who have a neurologic diagnosis or condition
  • Experience and professional development derived from the clinic is acceptable.
  • Has experience in fiscal management.
  • Experience derived from the clinic is acceptable.
  • Has experience or formal training in program evaluation, assessment, and curriculum development.
  • Is familiar with CAPTE accreditation requirements and has experience with other accreditation and/or regulatory agencies.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this position is $115,000-$127,000 per year.
  • The offered rate of pay will be commensurate with work experience and educational background.
