About the role

  • The incumbent owns the full contract lifecycle-from strategic assessment and contract development through execution, implementation, compliance monitoring, and renewal-while driving pricing excellence and operational effectiveness.
  • The Senior Manager, Contracts & Pricing Strategy is a strategic leader responsible for the development, execution, governance, and optimization of pharmaceutical pricing and contracting strategies across Managed Care, Commercial, Government, and Distribution channels.
  • This role serves as a key business partner to Market Access, Finance, Legal, Commercial Operations, Revenue Management, and Payer Account teams to ensure contract structures and pricing decisions align with organizational objectives, financial targets, compliance requirements, and patient access goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of pricing and contracting strategies across commercial, managed care, government, and distribution channels to align with business objectives and market access goals.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations on pricing, contract structures, and business opportunities to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and regulatory developments to assess business impact and support strategic planning.
  • Manage the end-to-end administration of customer and partner agreements, including drafting, review, approval coordination, execution, amendments, renewals, and implementation.
  • Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and data management activities that increase efficiency, transparency, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, pricing analytics, and contract management systems.
  • Minimum 7 years of direct pricing strategy development and implementation, drafting and negotiating payer agreements, contract development, and rebate administration.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience with government pricing calculations, contract analytics and Gross to Net forecasting
  • Proven experience interpreting and implementing pricing programs from Federal or state pricing programs
  • The ability to travel up to 20%, including occasional overnight travel, as dictated by business needs and attendance at company-sponsored meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical market access, pricing, reimbursement, and contracting processes.
  • Understanding of government healthcare programs and evolving healthcare policy landscape.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is between $150K and $185K.
  • Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.
  • The company also currently offers a Long-Term Incentive Plan (cash plan) of 20% base salary, and Incentive compensation target of 20% (subject to meeting plan requirements).
  • Support contracting activities related to product launches, annual pricing updates, and commercial initiatives.
