About the role
- NWACC offers a full range of associate degrees, certificates and workforce training programs that prepare students for rewarding futures and careers.
- Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available.
- Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.
Responsibilities
- This role helps support a small, but growing program that has an award-winning student newspaper and an increased online presence.
- Expertise in teaching the creation of audio and video journalism content is a plus. A demonstrated ability to collaborate with other faculty in the Communication and Arts School is highly preferred.
Requirements
- A master's degree in journalism or closely related field, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in journalism.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have
- Three years of teaching experience is preferred.
- Ability to teach audio, video and multimedia journalism is strongly preferred.
