About the role

  • NWACC offers a full range of associate degrees, certificates and workforce training programs that prepare students for rewarding futures and careers.
  • Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available.
  • Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.

Responsibilities

  • This role helps support a small, but growing program that has an award-winning student newspaper and an increased online presence.
  • Expertise in teaching the creation of audio and video journalism content is a plus. A demonstrated ability to collaborate with other faculty in the Communication and Arts School is highly preferred.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in journalism or closely related field, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in journalism.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Three years of teaching experience is preferred.
  • Ability to teach audio, video and multimedia journalism is strongly preferred.
