About the role

  • This role, along with team members, will service all Canadian access funds for tax compliance related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Canada tax team with full cycle of Canadian income and indirect tax compliance by actively coordinating work with external tax service providers, fund administrator, and internal teams to drive deliverables for feeder funds structured as trusts and partnerships
  • Assist in monitoring investors inquiries on T3, T5013, T5008, NR4 tax slips from investors, and coordinate with external advisors to support the process of Canadian income tax and information returns, SLFI returns and US tax returns.
  • Coordinating the tracking and retrieval of tax documents, including but not limited to tax estimates, K-1s, and all tax documents for our third-party preparers.
  • Create and maintain investment portal access for portfolio investments across multiple funds.
  • Manage mail including returned mails and other tax related mail correspondence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with ability to see the big picture
  • Create and document clear tax operations procedures to be followed by external service providers and internal teams as required.
  • Willing to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
  • Work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Comfortable learning new systems and technology

  • The base salary range for this role is between CAD 80,000 to CAD 110,000. iCapital offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes a competitive total compensation package consisting of salary, bonus, and equity for all full-time employees.
