About the role
- In this role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting activities, the integrity of inventory accounting and valuation, and the development and performance of the accounting team.

- The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Deliver financial analysis and variance explanations to executive leadership and operational teams to support informed decision-making.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the accounting team while ensuring performance expectations are met and priorities are effectively managed.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to increase efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
Compensation
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards (NCECF).
Company info
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA designation is considered an asset).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or people management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or NCECF, financial reporting standards, and internal control frameworks.
- Proven experience managing month-end close processes and financial reporting cycles.
- Manufacturing industry experience is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Maximo, Dayforce, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong sense of accountability, and unwavering financial integrity.
