About the role
- Ideal end time of 4:00-5:00 PM to respect evening family time.
- Date night coverage approximately once per month.
- The ideal person is organized, dependable, and naturally notices what needs to be done.
Responsibilities
- The responsibilities below reflect the ways this role will support the family.
- Family Support & Child Assistance
- Provide backup pick-up and drop-off support on an ad hoc basis
- Collaborate with the family on meal planning using existing family recipes, with the ability to take initiative over time
- Manage grocery shopping, whether in-store or via delivery, and maintain a well-stocked pantry and fridge
- Provide reminders and support to help older children manage their own laundry
- Rotate and maintain linens
- Perform daily resets including dishes, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas
- Create and maintain household organization systems
- Manage seasonal swaps for clothing, decor, and bedding
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Reliable personal transportation required
Nice to have
- Batch cook 2-3 lunches and dinners per week with enough for leftovers (fresh/hot service not required
- batch, crockpot, or oven-ready meals preferred)
- Experience working with neurodivergent children is strongly preferred.
- Patient and open-minded with children - comfortable supporting a child with autism and understanding that communication, behavior, and needs can look different for every child.
- Experience with autism or neurodivergent children is a plus, but a willingness to learn and provide respectful, compassionate support is most important.
Compensation
- $30-$35 per hour, based on experience
