About the role

- The salary range for this position is $35,568.00-$44,546.40 annually, based on education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain new and current students to participate in club sports and intramurals.
- Oversee competitive sports council, working with student leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Develop new officers' orientation.
- Assist with intramural sports and event programming to support other aspects of programming in the Virgil Henson Activities Center.

- As a member of the Rec Sports team, this person will also assist with intramural sports, student events and programs, and will help maintain the facilities in the Virgil Henson Activities Center as needed.
Requirements
- Experience with recruiting or marketing.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
- must be able to obtain a State of Texas Vehicle operator's license within 30 days of employment
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to innovate to introduce and grow programs to serve additional students.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Knowledge of recreational programs and club sport management.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Maintain 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses.
- Some night and weekend work will be required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) year of related experience, including related supervisory experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record; must be able to obtain a State of Texas Vehicle operator's license within 30 days of employment; and must qualify to operate a vehicle within the TAMUS guidelines.
- Skilled at building community and student wellbeing through team and individual sports.
- Strong marketing, interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Master's degree.
- Three (3) years of related experience, including related supervisory experience.
- Experience with student development.
- NIRSA Campus Recreation Student Affairs Certification or must obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Completion of the NIRSA Intramural & Club Sports Institute or must obtain within 30 days of employment.
