About the role
- This is a full-time, onsite position based on our Austin, Texas HQ Campus and reports to the Manager of Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and automation engineers to interpret design requirements
- Maintain drawing standards, templates, and documentation control systems
- Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure accuracy of designs
- Support troubleshooting by updating as-built drawings
Requirements
- 3+ years of drafting experience, preferably in industrial automation or controls
- Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A)
Nice to have
- Proficiency in CAD software such as: AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN (preferred)
Skills
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field
- Experience with industrial automation systems (conveyors, robotics, packaging lines, etc.)
- Knowledge of instrumentation and field devices (sensors, actuators, VFDs)
- Experience working with ERP or PLM systems
- Basic understanding of programming or control logic (ladder logic, HMI interfaces)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret engineering concepts and translate them into technical drawings
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and ability to handle multiple projects
