Responsibilities
- Design, configure, implement, and support enterprise API gateway platforms across development, testing, and production environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to onboard APIs and implement secure integration patterns.
- Support platform modernization initiatives, migration activities, and technical refresh efforts.
- Develop technical documentation including architecture diagrams, implementation guides, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with one or more enterprise API Gateway platforms including Kong, IBM webMethods, Apigee, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway, IBM API Connect, WSO2, Tyk, or similar technologies.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, OpenAPI, authentication protocols, and API lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and cloud-native deployments.
- Experience supporting Federal agencies.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or container orchestration.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, Zero Trust Architecture, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with observability platforms including AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
Nice to have
- Active Secret Clearance preferred.
