Position Details - Academic Personnel & Faculty
This position provides a faculty appointment at the rank of Teaching Associate in the Department of Surgery with an anticipated start date in Fall 2026.
Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms.

Perform bedside ICU procedures including central line and arterial line placements, bronchoscopy, and point of care ultrasound
24/7 dedicated CTICU in-house intensivist support
Successful candidates will be expected to support the department's commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community.
The CTICU APP role promotes independent clinical practice within a highly collaborative and established team model and is well supported with dedicated 24/7 in-house CTICU intensivist support.

Graduate Degree from and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment

Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Current and valid WA State Registered Nurse Licensure for ARNP or Physician Assistant licensure for PA-C.
Nationally certified ARNP/PA and eligible for DEA.
Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
ACLS Certification
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Basic computer knowledge and command of basic personal computer skills

extremely motivated new graduates with relevant critical care and cardiothoracic surgical training backgrounds may be considered for hire with an extended onboarding period

$10,326 - $15,391 per month commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
$123,912.00 annual Pay Range Maximum:
$184,692.00 annual Other Compensation:
