About the role
- Job Description and Responsibilities: Our optical fiber plant is specialized in high volume manufacturing of glass preforms, optical fibers and optical fiber assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver controls systems with structured software development practices to ensure safe, fast and efficient systems completion
- The Controls Engineer will design, install and maintain control systems of our large-scale production equipment including Modified Chemical Vapor Deposition (MCVD) lathes, overcollapse lathes, fiber draw towers and other pieces of equipment used to produce specialty optical fibers and fiber assemblies.
- This role works with a cross-discipline team of Mechanical, Electrical and Process Engineers as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams in order to support all aspects of the optical fiber manufacturing process.
