About the role
- The TRUMPF Smart Factory in Hoffman Estates, IL, is TRUMPF´s leading technology and demonstration facility.
- In this innovative, flexible and fully connected factory we use state-of-the-art technologies to make Autonomous Manufacturing a reality.
- The Operations Engineer is key to the success of the Smart Factory.
Requirements
- 2-year technical school degree or equivalent work experience, with a solid math background.
- Fluency in both written and verbal English required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Use cutting-edge software for programming of automated laser cutting and robotic bending equipment
- Setup and operate automated state-of-the-art TRUMPF laser and robotic bending equipment
- Monitor availability, quality and performance while ensuring dimensional accuracy of output parts
- Participate in Smart Factory, Industry 4.0 and AI-driven application studies, seminars and customer events
- Work closely with other teams to provide best-in-class experiences for all visitors to the TRUMPF Smart Factory
- Troubleshoot machine errors and work with TRUMPF Service experts to resolve
- Operate forklifts, AGVs and other tools as needed
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate or technical degree in manufacturing preferred.
Compensation
- $23.20 to $36.11/Hour
