About the role
- We are looking for an experienced Healthcare consultant with extensive knowledge of medical liability insurance to work with senior living facilities, hospitals, and physician practices.
- This position will cover the Central Time Zone (with the core states being Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska).
Responsibilities

- In this role, you will support clients in operating efficient organizations, reducing malpractice risks, and effectively managing adverse events involving patients and residents.
- As a member of the Risk Solutions team, you will provide valuable advice and support to strengthen care and mitigate risks, offering clients peace of mind through a range of measures.
- Build client relationships with services related to risk mitigation
- Support other Risk Solutions consultant team members as needed.
- Develop and deliver risk resources that are actionable and provide value to Curi's varied client base.
- Partner with internal teams to further Curi's mission and success
- Collaborate with internal teams on client needs, risk concerns, new business ventures, retention strategies, and client meetings as necessary.
- To be the trusted partner in medicine, business, and life.
Requirements
- Requires up to 50% travel, including overnight and weekend to other states/regions as required to meet business objectives.
Nice to have
- Serve as the dedicated consultant for risk advice to assigned clients in designated region.
- Determine client needs with leadership coaching by assessing client risk profile and aligning risk strategies to promote initiatives beneficial to the organization.
- Organize, plan and facilitate risk assessments to identify malpractice risk exposures for Curi clients.
- Serve as the Risk On-call consultant as scheduled on a monthly rotation.
- Align all content to Curi's mission, brand, and client need.
- Participate as needed on interdepartmental meetings (e.g. Claims Review Committee, Underwriting Roundtable, Account Services Team).
- Demonstrate expertise in risk management data, industry trends, and thought leadership.
- Share knowledge with consultant team members and incorporate information into risk resources as applicable.

- Ability to solve problems independently and provide risk management solutions to identified issues.
- Experience handling complex issues regarding care and organizational management.
- Demonstrate independent leadership and accountability for proactive outreach and engagement with identified clients.
- Display excellent customer service skills.
- Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.

- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing degree or equivalent work experience.
- Four years of risk consultant experience in medical malpractice.
- Experience preparing and presenting healthcare educational offerings to physician practices, hospitals or senior living facilities.
Compensation
- The base salary will be commensurate with an individual's work experience and educational background.
