Responsibilities
- Evaluate electrical one-line diagrams, specifications, and construction documents for completeness and constructability
- Develop scope narratives, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and clarifications
- perform leveling and gap analysis
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and supply chain during design-assist and preconstruction phases
- Support value engineering exercises without compromising performance, redundancy, or code compliance
- Maintain historical cost data and lessons learned from completed data center projects
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing; perform leveling and gap analysis
- Prepare bid deliverables: estimate summary, schedule impacts, risk register inputs, VE logs, estimated manpower, estimated straight/overtime hours and project duration of project schedule has not been provided with the bid documents, estimated
Requirements
- Minimum 7-10 years of electrical estimating experience, with significant data center or mission-critical project exposure
- Strong understanding of:
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, and Procore)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Candidates must have relevant estimator experience to support design-build electrical power distribution systems for hyperscale data centers.
Nice to have
- Background with an electrical contractor, mission-critical builder, or data center owner's representative
- Experience with fast-track, phased construction, and live campus work
- Procore experience
- Familiarity with commissioning requirements and integrated systems testing
