About the role
- Powered by chemistry, our products are used in applications that make the products we rely on, processes, and new technologies possible.
- Chemours is seeking a Process Engineer to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team.
- This position will be available at the Washington Works site in Parkersburg, WV and report directly to the Polymers Manufacturing Technology Manager.
Responsibilities
- Recommend and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement
- Lead and participate in incident investigations
- Lead capital projects for various improvements
- Provide environmental support
Requirements
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of typical equipment used in a Chemical Plant (i.e. pumps, compressors, piping, distillation columns, reactors, refrigeration machines, etc.)
- Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc.
- Five years or more of engineering experience
Nice to have
- The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
- 10 years or more of experience in a chemical manufacturing process
- Experience leading/participating in Process Hazards Analyses
- Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Certification
Compensation
- $97,843.00 - $152,880.00
