About the role

  • - Support new product development (NPD) through CAE simulations, including CFD and FEA. Responsibilities include axial and centrifugal fan design, internal flow path development, and structural integrity and durability.

Responsibilities

  • Support new product development (NPD) through CAE simulations, including CFD and FEA.
  • Support the Advanced Engineering team in the research and development of new to market products and technology.
  • Perform and develop techniques for multi-physics simulations including conjugate heat transfer analysis, spray atomization, and aeroacoustics.
  • Perform optimization and sensitivity analyses through design of experiments (DOE) and meta-modeling.
  • Develop reduced order plant models (ROM) to predict mechanical and thermal system performance using MATLAB, Simscape, Python, or similar languages.
  • Perform measurements including sound, vibration, fan performance, vacuum performance, and pressure loss coefficients.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace) or a related engineering field with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling (NX, SolidWorks or other commercial code).
  • Proficiency in a computational language (MatLab, Simscape, Simulink, Python, Fortran, C, C++, or VB)
  • International and domestic travel not required
