About the role
- We are seeking to hire an exceptional individual to join our Legal Team at Schonfeld.
- You will have the opportunity to work within two of the Legal Team's practice areas: Portfolio Management (PM onboarding/offboarding/counseling) and Capital Development & Investor Relations.
Responsibilities
- All facets of fund formation and capital development, including launching new investor-facing products, updating existing fund documents, preparing and reviewing side letters, maintaining fund side letter logs, negotiating placement agent agreements, and assisting with investor queries and communications.
- Help to spearhead strategic transactions, private equity transactions, loan documents and regulatory matters.
Requirements
- At least 4-6 years of experience in the investment management/funds practice area.
- Ability to prioritize and handle urgent competing workstreams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a demanding, fast-paced and fluid environment while maintaining superior rigor and attention to detail.
- Interest or experience in identifying and implementing AI tools to assist the legal team more broadly.
Nice to have
- In-house experience is preferred but not required.
Compensation
- The base pay for this role is expected to be between $200,000 and $250,000.

- The base pay for this role is expected to be between $200,000 and $250,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as a substantive performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors, such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
