About the role

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Fleet Supervisor to join our team.
  • In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a designated shift, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles and drivers.
  • You will play a key role in optimizing resource allocation and maximizing driver/vehicle productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage driver assignments: Allocate drivers to appropriate routes, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing idle time.
  • Communicate effectively: Maintain clear and concise communication with drivers, operations management, and other company staff via phone, text and other communication channels.
  • Maintain accurate records: Document all shift activities, including driver assignments, vehicle movements, and any incidents.
  • Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with other groups to ensure seamless operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements: Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with drivers, operations management, and other company staff via phone, text and other communication channels.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, and other relevant technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think quickly and decisively in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in Gmail and the ability to pick up various apps and software as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, especially Thursday-Sunday

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced transportation or logistics environment, with supervisory experience preferred.

Compensation

  • $24/hr
