About the role
- You will serve as a Wildlife Refuge Specialist located within the Department of Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Fish and Wildlife Service Region 8, San Juan National Wildlife Refuge Complex.
- First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
- In the absence of agency action to affirmatively certify continued employment beyond the probationary or trial period, such appointments are terminated.
Requirements
- All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-08/14/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
- 3 semester hours in botany, and 3 semester hours in conservation biology.Trancripts required.

Nice to have
- OR I have completed courses in an accredited college or university equivalent to a major in zoology, wildlife management, or appropriate field of biology that included at least 9 semester hours in zoology
- 6 semester hours in such wildlife courses as mammalogy, ornithology, animal ecology, or wildlife management
