About the role
- TransGrid has a robust pipeline of projects under construction and in late-stage development, and the Company is actively expanding its energy asset portfolio across the United States.
- The Development Manager is responsible for leading the full lifecycle development of projects from initial intake through delivery of EPC-ready packages.
- This role sits at the center of the development organization and is accountable for maturing and de-risking projects by advancing site control, interconnection, permitting, and engineering integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead development execution for assigned projects from intake through NTP
- Develop, maintain, and execute project development strategies, including risk identification and mitigation
- Drive go/no-go recommendations
- Prepare projects through NTP and maintain continuity through COD
Requirements
- 7-12 years of experience in BESS, renewables, or data center development
- Strong knowledge of interconnection processes, permitting, and site control
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external consultants
- Experience developing BTM energy systems, microgrids, or DER-integrated projects preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, and risk frameworks.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with data center or large-load development preferred
