Work closely with members of Mitacs Business Development, Research, and Programs teams to deliver high quality programming
Speak with industry partners to determine their R&D needs, connect them with specialists in academia, and advise them on the best programs to leverage the research opportunities uncovered
Create and maintain a network of partners and clients in industry in Ottawa and surrounding regions and academia
Provide support to the Business Development team as needed
Provide business development support to all Mitacs programs as needed
Provide business development and student engagement support

MSc or PhD, or an equivalent combination of education and research experience
Bilingual - fluent in both English and French is a requirement for this position

Full-time temporary employment - One (1) year contract
Mitacs Business Development team members are the bridge between academia and industry.
We help businesses, not-for profit organizations, and other organizations solve their R&D challenges by building partnerships with academia and using world-class talent from Canadian educational institutions.
We are at the forefront of marketing Mitacs programs to businesses, professors, and students.
