Company info
- Excellent in CDEGS software and shall perform substation grounding modeling with various SES modules including HIFREQ;
- Proficiency in other substation studies such as, Rigid and Strain bus calculations, AC/DC load studies, Ampacity Studies, Arc Flash studies, lightning protection and insulation coordination, lighting, transformer and bus sizing calculations, fault calculations, and AC and DC auxiliary system sizing calculations;
- Power system studies including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, protection and coordination and ampacity studies;
- Proposal preparation, proposal estimates, and provide input to scope documents and client presentations;
- Quality assurance of the documents to the applicable client standards;
- Discuss technical problems and communicate effectively with other project personnel and external customers;
- Perform independent audits and reviews of technical work;
- Provide final reports which summarize the overall project including timelines while ensuring power quality, system adequacy, system reliability, system compatibility and compliant work execution;
- Offer customer support and problem resolution with respect to the associated project, product, process, and quality system.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant High Voltage Substation studies;
- Experience with power system load flow, fault analysis, and short circuit studies;
- Experience with CDEGS, CYMCAP, SES-Shield 3D, ETAP, SAMCEF, PSS/E, EMTP, and PLS-CADD;
- Must possess strong written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills;
- Professional Engineer of Ontario (P.Eng) is required.
