About the role
- This role is responsible for leading enrichment activities, supporting program logistics, and fostering a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment for students.
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:20 p.m. - 5:20 p.m. Approximately 15 hours per week, aligned with after-school program hours at the assigned school site.

Responsibilities
- Support smooth transitions between activities and rotations.
- Support enrichment sessions by assisting external contractors.
- Provide encouragement and redirection for students needing extra support.

- Job Overview The Site Instructor supports the daily operations of the Be Strong After School Club (BSASC) at Lake Stevens Middle School, located at 18484 NW 48th Place, Miami Gardens, Florida.
- The Site Instructor helps create a well-rounded after-school experience that balances academic support, enrichment opportunities, student engagement, and fun while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Academic Support
- Help organize meal service and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Implement appropriate techniques for minor conflicts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- This position is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear.
- The position requires extensive computer use so the employee must have sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen.
- Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties requested by their supervisor in compliance with Federal and State Laws.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth in education, recreation, or after-school settings.
- Ability to lead activities and maintain student engagement.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass Level II background screening and sex offender registry check.
- Work Environment
- Position requires on-site presence at assigned school during after-school hours.
- Some evenings may be required for program events.
- Physical Demands: This position is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear. The position requires extensive computer use so the employee must have sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen.
