About the role
- Assists immediate supervisor and other mobile technicians in the performance of all plant mobile equipment maintenance tasks.
- Capable of performing most tasks associated with mobile maintenance and repair without direct supervision.
- Trains mobile technician helpers and jr. mobile technicians.
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance on 12 volt and 24-volt electric systems on all plant mobile equipment.
- Performs maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all plant mobile equipment.
- Occasionally responds to call-ins (nights, weekends, holidays) to perform basic mobile equipment repairs.
- Use the plant maintenance software system to query for open emergency and planned mobile maintenance jobs and to accurately and completely document work effort and job status.
Requirements
- Must have a valid state Class A CDL.
- Provide own basic set of hand tools required to perform assigned maintenance duties.
- Environmental Health & Safety
- Maintain safe working conditions and practices within the department. Conduct monthly safety meetings and employee training to achieve a zero (0) lost time injury record. Perform work duties in accordance with Quality System Manual procedures.
