About the role

  • The National Life Group Internship Program was developed to provide real workplace learning and growth opportunities for undergraduate students.
  • Over the years the program has provided students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful, career-relevant work at National Life Group in preparation for full-time employment.
  • This position currently offers an onsite work schedule, with the expectation that you are in the office four (4) days per week during onsite core days.

Responsibilities

  • This role will support the Social Media team in developing engaging, on-brand content for National Life Group's social channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • A significant focus of the role will be graphic design and visual content creation, using tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications to bring ideas to life across social platforms.
  • Create Social Media Content
  • Design engaging social media graphics and visual assets using Canva, Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
  • Support the creation of content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, adapting creative to the needs and best practices of each platform.
  • Support Campaigns and Communications
  • Partner with the Social Media team to develop content for integrated marketing campaigns, product initiatives, corporate communications, recruiting, community engagement, events and other organizational priorities.
  • Support both planned editorial content and timely requests from teams across the organization.
  • Collaborate Across National Life Group
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, marketers, communications professionals and subject matter experts to develop and refine creative.

Requirements

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Advertising or a related field.
  • Experience with Canva and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and/or other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn and an understanding of how content and audiences differ across platforms.
  • Ability to take direction and feedback while also bringing new ideas to the table.
  • AI Proficiency Expectations
  • Strong interest in social media, digital marketing and visual storytelling.
  • Strong visual instincts and an eye for typography, composition, imagery and brand consistency.
  • Interest in short-form video creation and editing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, responsive and comfortable balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with people across different teams and areas of the organization.
  • Curiosity, creativity and a desire to learn.

Compensation

  • The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors.
  • The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
  • Additional Compensation and Benefits.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
  • The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in National Life's discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to the rules governing such programs.
  • If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and National Life reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
