About the role
- Responsible for safe, accurate and timely receiving, storage, selection and loading of all products.
- Strive to make the warehouse operate in a profitable and safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Develop production flow processes and identify process improvement and cost reduction strategies.
- Establish and maintain operational procedures for activities such as verifying incoming shipments, handling and disposition of product and warehouse inventory accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement through "hands on" approach.
- Create a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and directs workforce to insure efficient workflow.
Requirements
- 3 Years of production experience required.
- Prior experience supervising staff required.
- Ability to prioritize activities in a multi-tasked environment required.
- Experience in production, warehouse, food processing, manufacturing food production or food service warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HAACP and other regulatory requirements
- broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities for described length of time.
Nice to have
- college degree or equivalent experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Skills
- Results-oriented, strong attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills.
