About the role

  • The European Intellectual Property (IPR) Department is a fully functional department responsible for all intellectual property matters of Huawei in Europe/EMEA.
  • The European IPR Department is mainly located in Munich, Germany, and it comprises an international and diverse team of attorneys-at-law, patent attorneys, patent engineers, and paralegals.
  • Supporting Huawei's efforts in licensing its patents, in particular its standard-essential patents (SEPs), by identifying potential licensees, drafting license agreements, and conducting licensing negotiations.

Requirements

  • Your areas of expertise Law degree (1st/2nd State Examination, Diploma, Master), at best with a focus on European IP law.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel, both in Europe.
  • At best, experience in multi-jurisdictional patent litigation and licensing projects, specifically regarding standard essential patents (SEPs) and FRAND related matters.
  • excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking as well as ability to present legal, commercial and technical arguments in a convincing manner.
