About the role

  • The Royalty Analyst role assists the department in conducting compliance examinations on behalf of entertainment clients and other rights holders.
  • This position is based out of Los Angeles, CA or Nashville, TN on a remote basis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organization of files
  • Liaise with representatives regarding document requests and review
  • Conduct analysis to create claim schedules

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role, or new grads with internship experience
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree is required; degrees in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or Mathematics is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas (such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF) - bonus points for experience with Power Pivot and Power Query
  • A genuine interest in the merchandise licensing business and merchandise royalties
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • While not required, experience or education in the merchandise licensing business, particularly merchandise licensing royalties and royalty audits is beneficial

  • Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman ("GRF") is seeking a Royalty Analyst, ideally with experience handling complex royalty and/or merch licensing accounting.

Compensation

  • The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $60,000 - $65,000.
