Our partner is looking for a Senior Server-Side Engineer based in United States.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
6+ years of professional experience in backend engineering, platform engineering, or distributed systems development.
Strong understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, consistency, availability, latency, and failure handling.
Advanced proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++.
Experience designing high-throughput messaging, streaming, and event-driven systems using technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, or NATS.
Experience leading complex, multi-quarter engineering initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
The ideal candidate thrives in technically challenging environments where performance, reliability, and operational excellence are essential.

Familiarity with Kubernetes-based platforms, internal developer platforms, service mesh technologies, or workflow orchestration is a plus.

Architect high-throughput, low-latency backend systems capable of supporting significant traffic volumes with predictable performance.
Establish observability standards, service-level objectives, and capacity planning processes for critical services.
Define engineering standards around APIs, schemas, deployments, and backward compatibility.
Mentor engineers, contribute to architectural discussions, and promote strong engineering practices across teams.
Evaluate emerging technologies and open-source solutions to identify opportunities for platform improvements.
